Hi Des, The apartment is fab. The pictures on the net don't do it justice.
Hi Des, The holiday was great, thank you - lots and lots of snow. it was a shame to leave it all behind at the end of the week. We all thought your apartment was great - exceeding expectations!! So thanks, Des - glad we found you on the internet.
Kind regards Anne.
Hi Des, Thanks for another great week in Borovets. The apartment was perfect and you couldn't fault the transfers, ski hire and friendly service from Hunters.
Des, Just to say thanks for the apartment. All went well. I'll let you know if any other trips to Borovets are planned. Thanks again, Guy
Hi Des, Pass on our thanks to Stephan and his family for efficiently organising everything for us at Borovets. The transfers, ski hire and tuition were all first rate and the apartment was superb. Really enjoyed being able to have a warm swim after a day on the slopes. Looking forward to doing the same again next year. Regards Nick
Comments from Tim P .. Seven of us had a very enjoyable stay here in March 2009. The apartment is very well presented with all mod cons (including a lovely warm swimming pool), and is in a beautiful quiet, forested area a short and pleasant stroll from the centre of Borovets. Borovets has pretty fun nightlife with a wide range of restaurants and bars and I'd highly recommend it for a short break. Booking Daniel Residence was straightforward. Des and his native english-speaking representative in Borovets could not have been more helpful.
Hi Des, Great holiday, the snow was fantastic. The apartment was perfect for all of us, no concerns. Hunters Ski were good and the transfers and ski-hire all went smoothly. We would definitely visit again. Shelley
Bulgari Offers some of the Best Value Skiing in Europe
According to a survey by Tesco Travel Money, British holidaymakers would be far better off financially if they went on holiday in Bulgaria rather than Brighton on the south coast of England, even once the cost of flights is factored into the overall price. The survey reveals that a week in Sofia would cost a family of four £1,221, while a seven-night break in Brighton would set them back £2,209. (This includes the costs of accommodation, car hire, meals and expenses but not air fares)
Bulgaria works out cheaper than any other country quoted in the survey which, ironically, placed Iceland as the most expensive destination, ahead of Italy, Spain, Croatia, France, Portugal, Greece and the UK - in that order.
Owner’s comment (2009/2010): Last season got off to a poor start with limited slopes open at Christmas, however it suddenly dumped it down and from January to mid March was perfect, I know because I was there! The cost of food & drinks has hardly altered since 2004. I cannot afford to take my family of 4 to the French Alps anymore its OTT! Yes there are more slopes and yes the lifts may be faster, but I’ve been to some French resorts that you have to queue for ever! And when I’ve been told ski in ski out! Ha! only once out of 3 French ski holidays and the accommodation was dire on our first trip there. But as the old saying goes, 'when there’s snow everyone’s happy' I wish you all a great and safe ski season for 2010/2011 wherever you decide to go.
